These are at the heart of our work and our commitment. At home and abroad, we work with our partners to make a difference, because we believe in the power of working together. AtlasBridges works together on initiatives in villages, cities or neighbourhoods that help in the fight against poverty and injustice. We can also provide rapid assistance in the event of a disaster or conflict.

Emergency & Charity

We work in crisis areas. For example, we do this in Syria and Ukraine. We also take action in acute emergency situations that arise from natural disasters and armed conflicts. We see that the number of emergency situations in the world is increasing. In a growing number of countries and regions, there are climate disasters and conflicts. More and more people are fleeing or fear for their lives every day. We support them by working on food security, safety, reconstruction and helping to build resilient communities.

Sustainability & Environment

Sustainable means: taking into account other people, the earth, the climate and generations after us. A sustainable way of living and working is one of the best strategies against poverty and injustice. We work towards a world in which everyone can provide for his or her basic needs, has equal chances and possibilities and lives within the limits of what the earth offers. We call this ecological and economic sustainability.

Local & Ownership

You make a difference. Whether you live in Amsterdam, Utrecht or Texel, it is important to realise that you can make a difference and that you are of significance to your living environment. That starts small, but has a big impact. If the responsibility for change lies with people themselves, the change is sustainable and people experience pride and freedom. That is why we do not send out teams ourselves, but always work through local organisations and mosques. In our work, ownership is an important driving force. #EduChance

Law & Legal Aid

There is a lot of injustice that takes place outside our field of vision, both far away and close by. By building a movement of justice makers, we work towards change. In the Netherlands, we also encourage people to stand up against discrimination and injustice. We believe that every choice for fair jeans, more consciously dealing with food or sharing what you have makes the world a little more beautiful. #Equal_Opportunities

Diversity & Inclusion

The character of our world is visible in the multi-colouredness and diversity. Only when everyone participates fully and there is no more exclusion, can people realise their full potential. That is why any form of unequal treatment, prejudice and racism is unacceptable. In our systems we see that racism and lack of diversity cause great inequality.
